College of St. John – Roxas (CSJ-R) continued to shine after its humble beginning as it embraced its 16 years of fruitful existence. The Foundation Day celebration was celebrated at the grounds of CSJ-R on July 20, 2015.
All members of the Lasallian community enjoyed the event with different activities starting with the Holy Mass and followed by Zumba, Fun Run and Pet Show. Different kiosks were stationed all over the campus. Souvenirs were sold in front of the Balgos Hall to note the importance of the day the school was founded.
CSJ-R’s Foundation Day was a day to remember for every Lasallian. This is the day that we do remember St. John Baptist De La Salle, the patron saint of all Christian teachers.
As a commemoration of its 16 years of service and existence, the Lasallian family formed a symbol that would best describe the whole community – the star of St. John. The star that symbolizes unity within individuality.
Each of the Lasallian member made up a star. A star that was formed by discipline, strong conviction in life, love, faith and positive influence in people’s lives. A symbolism that made us unique and distinctive: SHINING and RISING ABOVE THE REST!
Ms. E. Regina Dabao, CSJ-R’s Chancellor, imparted a thought for every Lasallian to ponder upon, “As we celebrate our 16th Foundation Day, let us promise to keep the Animo alive.”
