A student is what he is because of his teacher.
Filled with care, knowledge and support, a student can explore his own potentials with the guidance of his second parents, his teachers. In line with the Lasallian tradition, every January, students prepare a small program to pay tribute to their teachers. The Lasallian Teachers’ Day is meaningful to both the students and the teachers.
This year, the student government officers of the high school and grade school department worked hand in hand along with some key people to organize a simple event for the teachers. On January 26, 2018, teachers were blindfolded to their way to the covered court where they were surprised by the students. Words of appreciation were said, gifts of love were given and performances were showcased to entertain the stars of that day. A bountiful lunch was also prepared for them.
The gratitude of the students to their teachers cannot be summed up in just one day. Lasallian Teachers’ Day is a special once-a-year occasion, but the thank you’s for the people who have molded students into what they are is an everyday event.
