With the announcement of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) last June 2016 for the launch of another Search for Best Business Idea and Development Awardees (BIDA), selected students from the college department of St. John-Roxas have join to it.
In the past few years, College of St. John-Roxas had been already joining in the said competition.St. John made their first engagement and appearance on BIDA 2014 with their participants Kristelle Tianchon, Krischelle Silvestre, and Kenichi Honda together with their team adviser Ms. Sally J. Ortiz in their first business tagline idea of “Ken-Ken & Friends Seafood Polvoron”. Their first try made it to the top 10 qualifiers nationwide-campuses but sadly, they haven’t got a chance to be in top 3.
Despite of loss in the BIDA 2014 awarding, St. John’s spirit didn’t loss to strive and try for more. They had again joined the BIDA 2015 with the new and additional set of selected students namely Ashley Marie Baňas, Janico Antonio, and Ken-ichi Ledesma together again with their team adviser Ms. Sally J. Ortiz. They had made a two new business tagline idea in competing, the “Pechapay” and “Tuto”. Both of it entered the top 10 qualifying spot again in the hundreds of competing campuses nationwide but apparently, they didn’t won in battling for the top three qualifying spots. Nevertheless, “Pechapay” tagline won the 1st place in the DTI’s search for the best MSME’s development plan in the whole province of Capiz.
Now for the third time, the BIDA 2016, College of St. John-Roxas had joined again with their fresh, new and latest participants: Miles Nicko Santos, Kenichi A. Honda, Ashley Marie Baňas and Mitch Mendez together with their team adviser Ms. Sally J. Ortiz and new business idea tagline, “Offix”. The final judging of their tagline will be held on September 27, 2016. Let us all pray for their success.
